During the baptismal service, the parents and godparents pledge to teach the child the Christian ways and ask for the baptism in the name of God in front of the whole congregation.
Central elements in both churches are the baptism with water and the blessing, the profession of faith, the intercessions as well as the Lord’s Prayer.
